In these fast paced times, almost everything the average American puts into their precious body, is a diet that consists manly of processed, microwaved, fried or overcooked foods.
The average human body needs about 5-6 servings of vegetables and 4-5 servings of fruit everyday. When you cook food, it kills a great deal of the enzymes the body needs to properly digest food and nutrients to maintain optimal health. If your car is fueled with poor quality gas, it will not run properly.  Likewise, to have energy and vitality at any age, you need good fuel that the body can easily absorb.  Your body is an amazing, living organism.  When given the right fuel, the sky is the limit as to what you can accomplish.
Your bloodstream is literally a river that nourishes the trillions of cells in your body. If your bloodstream is polluted with unhealthy foods that are processed until they are dead, your entire body will be adversely affected.
For example, when you eat unhealthy food that does not provide enough nutrition, your body keeps asking for more food, because it is not getting what it needs and you will have the urge to eat too much.
Also, being “fatigued” and having “low energy”, is an indication that the cells of your body are not receiving a sufficient flow of nutrition.  It is the result of too much waste being left behind, because your body is not able to remove the waste properly.  Given a constant source of good nutrition, your body will effectively remove waste, giving you more nutrition and therefore more energy.
People who are on “junk food” diets are continually polluting their bodies so they are not able to remove waste or get the nutrition they need, leading to overeating and feeling fatigued. In fact, over 69% of adults over the age of 20 in the USA are overweight and/or obese, according to a study conducted by the U.S. Federal Center for Disease Control and Prevention. No wonder there are so many people in this country that complain about “low energy”, or having no vitality!
However, when you put raw and vital foods into your body, you will feel alive and have more energy throughout the day. Perhaps that is why freshly made juices are so popular. When people drink fresh made juices, they say they feel better. A glass of freshly made juice is a perfect source of the vital enzymes and nutrients your body is craving. In addition, if you’re not a big fan of fruits and vegetables, juicing is a delicious way to get them into your body.
Juicing is also great for those who are overweight and are wanting to lose weight. A glass of fresh juice can help curb your appetite, so you don’t feel hungry, because your body will be getting the nutrients it needs.
You may ask yourself, “But, it’s too much trouble to cut up fruits and vegetables and clean the juicer! Why not buy the juice from the store?”
Unless the local store you go to, makes the juice right in front of you, by law in most states in the USA, all juices must be pasteurized or flash pasteurized. Because of this, the juice has little or no enzymes, which are vital to proper nutritional intake. Almost all canned and bottled drinks contain either pasteurization, preservatives, added sugar, concentrates and/or artificial flavorings. Also, canned beverages often leak aluminum into the juice, which is then digested by the body.
So which juicer is best for me?
Juicers can range from $50 to $2,500, so the best juicer is the one that you can afford now and get you juicing daily to a healthier life. You can always upgrade and give your old juicer to a loved one, and encourage them to healthier living. See my website for more about how to select the “best juicer” for you on my website.
The following fresh juice drink is one of my favorites of all time. I have been drinking this healthy juice combination since 1979. It is a simple and affordable beverage that virtually anyone can make and it tastes wonderful. This recipe goes all the way back to the 1950s and was used by some the greatest doctors who pioneered natural healing: Dr. Max Gerson, Dr. Norman W. Walker, Dr. Paavo Airola, and Dr. Bernard Jenson.
8-10                            Carrots, small to medium size
8-10 Stalks                Celery (same amount as the carrots)
1/2 cup                       Parsley
1-2                               Red or Green Apples (green apples have less sugar)
This makes about one, 16-20 ounce glass of juice. Drink this once or twice a day and watch how your energy goes way up.
A few things to note:
•To get the most digestive enzymes and nutrition, it is always best to consume your juice fresh, or within 20 minutes of making it.
•A juicing machine extracts the juice from whole fruits or vegetables and also removes the pulp, which contains fiber. Adding some of the leftover pulp back into the juice is an excellent way for those who want or need more fiber in their diet.
•Organic fruit is always best. If you can only get commercial produce, it is not a problem – just remember to wash everything well and peel carrots and apples as they are sprayed with many pesticides.
